THE DIPLOMA FOR EVERY INDEPENDENT WORKING SOLAR INSTALLER!

Being able to install a PV installation independently and safely with your colleague. To start this training, you must have basic electrical engineering knowledge (obtained through training or experience).

Solar-Topfitter includes:

  • Day 1: Solar-Safety
  • Day 2: Solar-Electrical I
  • Day 3: Solar-Projects
  • Theory and practical exam *

* The Solar-Topfitter exam last approximately 3 hours. In the invitation you will find the exact time at which you are scheduled to take the exam.

You will receive the diploma if you have successfully completed and passed the practical and theoretical exam. You will be registered on Solar-Register and you will get the right to use the Solar-Topfitter logo (for example on business cards, website and car). As a Solar Topfitter you perform the installation independently (always in collaboration with a colleague) and you can check the work of fellow engineers.

Pay attention! You can also subscribe for individual modules / exams.

Module 1: Solar-Safety

THE TRAINING FOR SOLAR FITTERS!

In Solar-Safety you will learn how to install solar panels well and safely. In advance, you will receive a booklet with clear images explaining the rules on installing and working safely (handy format, also to be used as a reference for the work). Our experienced practical trainers (maximum 6 participants!) will guide you through. Our “checklist instructions & resources” supports you, your company or client to bring quality and safety to a higher level.

Subjects:

  • Working safely with solar panels
  • Mounting of substructures
  • Panel mounting
  • Cabling
  • Connector fitting
  • Protective earthing
  • String plans and labeling
  • Basic knowledge of inverters

During the training you will be tested on the correct execution of the various actions. If you successfully complete the tests, you will receive the Solar-Safety certificate.

Module 2: Solar-Electrical I

PROPERLY CONNECT OF SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS ACCORDING TO NEN1010 AND OTHER APPLICABLE STANDARDS

We take NEN 1010 and related standards and the grid codes as the starting point for connecting a solar power system to the grid.

Solar-Electrical covers:

  • Installing in accordance with NEN 1010 and other applicable standards
  • Connecting DC and AC
  • Distribution boards
  • DC cabling and connectors
  • Earthing

Module 3: Solar-Projects

QUALITY ASSURANCE IN SOLAR PROJECTS

At Solar-Projects you will learn to organize your work and to guarantee and record the quality of the installation and your work.

Solar-Projects includes:

  • Basic knowledge of building structures
  • Systems design aspects
  • Organization of safety and work
  • Documentation
  • Administration

Module 4: Exam Solar-Topfitter

SHOW THAT YOU CAN INSTALL A PV SYSTEM WELL

After following the courses Solar-Safety, Solar-Electrical I and Solar-Projects you can take the Registered Solar-Topfitter exam. With the exam you show that you have mastered the material well. You will receive the diploma when you have passed the theoretical and practical exam. You will registered on Solar-Specialist.nl and you will have the right to use the Solar-Topfitter logo (for example on business cards, website and car). As a Solar Topfitter you perform the installation independently (always in collaboration with a colleague) and you are able to check the work of fellow installers.

The Solar Topfitter exam takes approximately 3 hours. The invitation to the exam indicates the time at which you are scheduled to take the exam.

After completing the training, I can say that Solar-Topfitter is actually an obligation for anyone who wants to install solar panels! Clear explanation, good practicum and last but not least a true "sun lover" as a teacher. Absolutely great!
