TO INSTALL AND INSPECT SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS

Scope 12 inspection of solar power systems is established by a collaboration of installers, inspection companies, insurance companies and SCIOS (Foundation for certification of inspection and maintenance of technical installations). Increasingly insurance companies and clients demand an inspection made by a certified SCIOS Scope 12 company. Passing the Scope 12 examination the inspector proves that he is competent which is a condition to certificate the company. The company needs to have a quality system according to Scope 12. The certification will be done by a certification institute. The company, as well as the inspector, will be audited. More information regarding SCIOS certification.

During the training SCIOS Scope 12 we will prepare you fully for the Scope 12 examination. It consists of the training: Solar-Electrical I, Solar-Electrical II ,Solar-Inspection and Scope 12 Preparation for Examination .The examination consist of a Theoretical exam and Practical exam and will be executed by ITV (Instituut voor Technische Vakexamens). After following the training you can subscribe directly for the exams: https://www.itvexamens.nl/scios. The costs for both exams are € 513 excluding VAT (Theoretical exam € 205.00 excl. VAT | Practical exam € 308.00 excl. VAT).

After completing the training and passing your scope 12 exam, you will also receive the right to use the Solar-Inspector logo and you will be registered on www.solar-register.nl

The training SCIOS Scope 12 covers:

  • Solar-Electrical I (1 day)
  • Solar-Electrical II (1 day)
  • Solar-Inspection (1 day)
  • Scope 12 preparation for examination (1 day)

Module 1: Solar-Electrical I

PROPERLY CONNECT OF SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS ACCORDING TO NEN1010 AND OTHER APPLICABLE STANDARDS

We take NEN 1010 and related standards and the grid codes as the starting point for connecting a solar power system to the grid.

Solar-Electrical covers:

  • Installing in accordance with NEN 1010 and other applicable standards
  • Connecting DC and AC
  • Distribution boards
  • DC cabling and connectors
  • Earthing

Module 2: Solar-Electrical II

ESSENTIAL FOR ELECTRICIANS CONNECTING SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS.

Solar-Electrical II is the continuation of Solar-Electrical I.

Solar-Electrical II covers:

  • Elaborating Solar-Electrical I: electrical properties PV system
  • Suitability of existing distribution boards
  • Cable cross section calculation AC and DC
  • Integration with lightning protection
  • Fire risks
  • Specific applications
  • Common failures

Module 3: Solar-Inspection

PRACTICAL INSPECTION AND MEASUREMENT ACCORDING TO STANDARDS

Solar-Inspection is a continuation of Solar-Electrical. You will be taught how to inspect a solar power system according to the Dutch and international standards, and how to locate faults. An elaborated report– to be used in your own projects – is part of the training.

A maximum of 8 participants, which means a lot of personal attention!

Solar-Inspection covers:

  • Inspection standards in daily use
  • Using specialized measurement equipment and interpretation of the results
  • Recording inspection results in a report

Module 4: Scope 12 preparation for examination

For all participants who followed the training Solar-Electrical I, Solar-Electrical II and Solar-Inspectionand want to take the examination Scope 12.

It covers:

  • Training for examination
  • Drawing up inspection report
  • Explanation of acceptance criteria
  • To discuss Technical Document 18
  • Practice circuit impendance calculations
